Prescott House has a long history in Saranac Lake, from its original use as “Reception Hospital” to treat severely ill TB patients, to later uses as college classrooms, a women’s dormitory for North Country Community College, and eventually a bustling vacation rental property.

Adirondack Rec Room
Head down to the Prescott House ADK basement and experience SLK's FBO - our recreation room themed in homage to the history of aviation in the Adirondacks. (Why SLK's FBO? SLK , or SLICK, is the nickname for Adirondack Regional Airport, which serves the North Country. FBO stands for "fixed base operations"—the business set up to provide support and a place to rest for incoming pilots. In our case, it stands for "Fixed Basement Operations" and offers a place for guests to relax, watch game, play some pinball, or use the full kitchen.
